LIGA SANTANDER, Chile — A post office service provider (PSP) has reported its third consecutive loss of orders after an extended period of uncertainty.
Liga Santander said on Tuesday that it lost about 2,000 pesos ($16) per customer in the third quarter of this year after the company went under.
The postal service provider has been struggling to maintain revenue since the end of September due to a lack of deliveries.
The company has been operating in the country for more than 50 years, and it was the only PSP in the world to have survived a wave of currency inflation.LIGA said it is now struggling to stay afloat with a loss of more than 1 million pesos per month, which is equivalent to about 10% of its revenue.
It said it expects to run out of cash by the end, as it continues to take on new clients.
